Hi there, I’m John. I’m an artist, author, writer, musician and business owner based in the UK. After leaving university in 2010, I set up one of the world’s first specialist information design agencies with my business partner and lifelong friend Rob Thomas. Since then, Designbysoap Ltd has grown into the United Kingdom’s most prominent content development agency, creating bespoke visual campaigns for the world’s biggest brands.

As well as my main business, I’m currently launching secondary brands in software, education and retail, aiming to disrupt areas in the gifting, online course and graphic design industries.

I’m also an author, with my debut book Visualizing The Beatles published in America through Harper Collins in 2018. Regional versions have also been published in the UK, Spain, Brazil, Portugal and Germany through smaller publishers. I’m currently working on new titles in the Visualizing series, as well as a personal book project focused on football.

I currently live between Brighton and Hereford.
